What is the Base Ram 1500 Trim Level?
The Ram 1500 Tradesman kicks off the lineup and sets the tone for one of the most advanced pickup truck lineups in today’s market. Under the hood is a 305 horsepower V6 engine, powering a rear-wheel drive platform with an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard equipment. However, here in Michigan, four-wheel drive is more common, as it is best suited for unpredictable weather. While still featuring a black grille and black bumpers, the Ram 1500’s fascia is upgraded for a bolder, more confident appearance with an enlarged grille slightly leaned forward with reshaped headlights on either side with newly standard LED lamps. Other exterior features include heated/power-adjustable side mirrors, black fender flares, 18-inch steel working, black side mirror housings, and reshaped LED taillights. Stepping inside, you’ll instantly notice that the standard touchscreen has been upgraded from the previous generation’s 5-inch Uconnect 4 touchscreen to a standard 8.4-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen. Meanwhile, throughout the cabin, you’ll also find air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, and an electronic switch for the parking brake. When you select the Ram 1500 Tradesman crew cab, rear seat occupants enjoy a class-leading 45.2 inches of legroom.
